The Memoir Club

Escape into a 1920's world of the literary and artistic avant-garde. We created our Memoir Club collection around imagined stories and patterns inspired by The Bloomsbury Group - a bohemian group of friends that worked and often lived together in early 20th century England.

Behind the collection

The Charm of Charleston

For over 60 years, Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant resided at Charleston, a rural farmhouse located in East Sussex, England. The expressive linework of a vintage 1930's floral we found reminded us of the unique and bohemian style in which they painted almost every surface of their home. A magical place where they regularily hosted members of the progressive Bloomsbury Group which included Vanessa's sister, author Virginia Woolf and artist Roger Fry.
